Neuqua’s dance teams aren’t the only one showing off their moves

Neuqua Valley held its annual competition, Neuqua Knows It Can Dance, last night. The event was hosted by Annaliese Munn and Evan Morales. There were many groups that performed including the Varsity Hockey team, Ultimate Frisbee team, Peer Partners, Varsity Poms team, and Orchesis. All the groups put on spectacular performances, all after one goal: to be chosen to perform in the Orchesis showcase.

Varsity Hockey performed a very intricate dance per usual which included a variety of songs and a costume change, all ending with an amazing homecoming ask. The Peer Partners also did a Hawaiian themed dance to songs like Hawaiian Rollercoaster while decked out in Hawaiian shirts and leis.

During the event, there was a very entertaining production put on by a group of friends dressed in colorful tights and tutus. At the end, the Orchesis team blew everyone away at the end with their amazing choreography in their production.

However, in the end there could only be one winner to star in the showcase. The Hockey team prevailed as champions for the third year in a row. Peer Partners were given the spirit award for their outstanding energy and charisma. Great job to all the participants and congrats to Varsity Hockey!
