Apple Store Robbery

January 18, 2011

On January 16th, 2011, the Apple Store, located in Downtown Naperville was robbed yet again. Early Sunday morning, two thieves smashed the front doors of the store and stole over $30,000 worth merchandise.

The robbers broke in wearing ski masks and gloves and carried plastic containers used to carry the stolen items. Naperville Police are trying to identify the burglars through surveillance videos, but at the moment no suspects have been named.

Although the area surrounding the store has a low crime rate, this is the second time in five months that a robbery has taken place. Police are still investigating whether this instance is somehow related to the one that took place in early September.

The city of Naperville asks that if anyone has information about the burglary, they should call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6664 or the Naperville Crime Stoppers Hotline at 630-420-6006.
