Wristbands in Honor of Kyle Zuleg

November 8, 2010

The Neuqua Valley Boys Volleyball program has found a way to remember and celebrate Kyle Zuleg, who recently passed and was on the junior varsity team this past season. The program is selling rubber wristbands which read, “KYLE ADAM ZULEG #17”. The idea of bracelets was thought up during a meeting the Wednesday after Kyle’s passing.

“Kyle was on the Freshman B Team and then JV his sophomore year, and everyone knew him by his tenacity in the program- he was honestly one of our favorite players”, stated Conner Dart, a senior on the varsity team. Although the bracelets were originally intended to be worn solely by the volleyball program and the Zuleg family, Conner Dart and Zach Gilligan ordered 200 bracelets, and will be selling the excess.

If you would like a wristband, please look for seniors Conner Dart or Zach Gilligan, or junior Jake Gerald to give your money to, and they will give you a bracelet once they have arrived. The bracelets cost two dollars, and all proceeds go to the Kyle Adam Zuleg Foundation.
“At the meeting we held, everyone had the idea to make wristbands to remember Kyle as a person and an athlete- we wanted to create [these wristbands] in order to remember Kyle, because they were something we could keep with us wherever we went”, declared Dart.

If you would like a bracelet and cannot find Dart, Gilligan, or Gerald, join the Facebook group, “Kyle Zuleg Wristbands”, and then write on the group’s wall to express your interest. A second order of bracelets will be purchased according to the numbers displayed on the group’s page. “They are the quickest way to keep Kyle in our lives and commemorate his life”, asserted Dart.
