It’s October, and if you’re a senior you’re probably feverishly filling out college applications, and scheduling various visits. Stress no more- this coming Thursday, October 14th, from 6:30 to 9 pm at the College of DuPage Recreational Center, in the Main Arena, there will be a college fair for any students interested.
More than 240 representatives from various colleges, universities and military academies will be present, including George Washington University, University of Hawaii Pacific University, Northwestern University, West Point, and many others. Students can find out information on such topics as the college application process, scholarship opportunities, necessary entrance scores, and much more.
During the fair, besides visiting a menagerie of booths and receiving giveaways from many of the colleges present, students and parents alike will be able to attend a Financial Aid Presentation at both 7 and 8 pm in room 118, near the Recreation Center.
An additional feature available to students at the fair will be a High School Student Assistance Center open from 6:30 to 9 pm. The Center will be staffed by high school counselors to help students and provide them with general college information.
The College Fair provides both graduating seniors and proactive underclassmen the opportunity to gain information on a variety of colleges and post-high school institutions in a relaxing forum that’s close to home.
