Welcome to the Family

October 1, 2009

Metea Valley has already become an important part of the district. There are only 615 Freshmen and 550 Sophomores, but the size of the school does not prove a challenge.

“[For] a climate that’s best for the students…we established a LIFE statement,” Principal Jim Schmid said. “Live with integrity, Inspire passion for learning, Foster positive relationships, and Expect equity and excellence for all.”

The administration has also made an effort to offer the same opportunities established at the other schools.

“I still hoped that I was able to choose from the same classes and participate in the same activities,” said Sophomore Kavya Pai.

While there are no varsity sports this year, there is an expected large turn-out for other activities.

Pai added that the teachers have shown the same excitement. Evidently, Metea Valley High School has started the year well and will hopefully progress likewise.
