Break Comes Early: No School Today (12/19)

December 19, 2008

At about 5:45 a.m., District 204 administration notified students of the closure of school via the automated telephone system. District 204′s webpage also now displays a simple notice of the district wide closure.

Although some students may feel relieved, thousands of Main and Gold Campus students will have to complete their last day of finals after break. A recent post on nvhs.ipsd.org reveals that final exams for sixth, second, and eighth periods have been rescheduled for Friday, January 9.

Other high schools in the area also have snowdays. Waubonsie, Naperville North, and Central High Schools all will not be in session today.

Neighboring District 203 schools North and Central have already made a decision on their finals after break. Monday will be a normal first semester day and today’s finals will be pushed back to Tuesday.

As seen in the picture, not an astounding amount of snow has accumulated. The snow that has fallen seems to be somewhat slick.
