Neuqua Valley has been home to many technological updates throughout the years from online grade books to flat screen televisions throughout the hallways.
Despite the functionality of the already up to date style of teaching, the school has begun to install new projectors in many classrooms throughout the school.
Pretty soon, these new additions will be permanent in every single classroom in the school.
The new projector system obviously will begin to take place over the old overhead system in many classes. Some teachers have already seen these additions in their classrooms, and many of them see this as a great opportunity.
Physics teacher Mike Kennedy said, “Adding these projectors is a great idea. It will allow us teachers to do cool and interactive things with our presentations.”
This new projector system will allow teachers to incorporate animations and images into their lectures that the overhead system could not use.
This new system will hopefully help students absorb the information. When asked about how this will affect the learning process, Kennedy said, “Learning is typically visual, which is something that we usually try to do in science classes.”
The visual factor is, indeed, one of the main factors that appeals to teachers. However, this will not come to a complete surprise to everyone.
Kennedy said, “We have been asking for these for a while. Teachers like to keep up on technology.”
