Prime Porcelain: New Sinks in Neuqua’s Bathrooms

Although many students may not have noticed, there are some new sinks in the bathrooms around Neuqua. These are automatic and are guaranteed to function so students are not faced with the dilemma of not being able to wash their hands. Since Neuqua has been open for over ten years, there will of course be a lot of equipment that will need to be renewed and newly bought. Students use desks, lockers, and tables on an everyday basis and these objects wear out fast and are required to be renewed frequently. New computers with flat screens for the computer labs, like the ones in the D-100, were purchased before the year even began. However, the newest additions to Neuqua are the sinks in the girls and boys bathrooms. In the girl’s bathroom, near the B-hallway, there is still one old sink and one new automatic one. Not all the sinks are new since most of them were still functioning and they are just newer models of the old sinks. The custodial staff claims that the sinks replaced were not working at all and therefore it was necessary to replace them. Last year it was found that twenty-two percent of the main hallway sinks were not working, while in one of the boy’s bathrooms none of the sinks were working at all. Neuqua is finally taking action, it seems that this hygienic problem is finally being fixed and more new equipment is being bought.
