At Neuqua Valley High School, simply wanting to play a sport is not always good enough. Any sport a student chooses to tryout for is going to have fierce competition and a spot on a team is not always guaranteed. Luckily, Neuqua Valley also offers a wide variety of intramural sports where teams can be made by students without the pressures of having to tryout or be selected. But how does a student go about becoming active in intramurals? With the new Neuqua Valley intramurals website up and running, becoming active should no longer be a problem. Up to date Intramurals information can now be viewed online through www.nvhsintramurals.com. The website not only contains information telling what each intramural is about, but also start up information, costs, dates, schedules, and frequently asked questions.
A common problem students face when attempting to sign up for intramurals is not knowing what part of the year the intramural takes place. The new website clears up any misconceptions there might be on which month each intramural occurs with the “Registration and Sign Ups” page which is the first bullet point on the main page of the site. The page provides information concerning the month each intramural takes place, the cost to play the intramural, and also captain’s meeting room information which is necessary for any student wanting to start a team.
Another nuisance when signing up for intramurals in the past is using pen and paper sign up sheets that get crumpled, tossed around, or just plain ripped up. This problem is solved with the new feature on the website that allows students to sign up for intramurals online. By simply filling out name, phone number, grade level, and team participants, and clicking on the “submit” button, students can now sign up for intramurals in a matter of seconds.
